Abatement and exemption applications.

Personal exemption applications for newly eligible veterans, elderly, blind and widows/widowers are available in the Assessors Office and available for download. General information is available on the table in the Town Hall corridor.

Forms for personal exemption from real estate taxes have been mailed out to those who received an exemption last year. Applications are also available in the Assessors Office and on the town website: http://www.charlemont-ma.us/Town/TownAssessors.shtml

Applications for Chapter 61 (forest land) have been mailed out to those who are due for recertification.

The completed applications need to be postmarked or hand delivered by September 30, 2010.

Annual applications for Chapter 61A (agricultural/horticultural land) and Chapter 61B (recreational land) have been mailed out and completed applications need to be postmarked or hand delivered by October 1, 2010.
