Request for Information: LAST MILE BROADBAND SERVICE

The Town of Charlemont, Massachusetts is issuing this RFI for services to provide last mile broadband service for approximately 680 residences and businesses that currently have limited or no access to broadband internet service. The town is seeking responses from companies that have experience in designing, building, owning, operating, managing and/or maintaining communications networks. The town desires to have a communications network in Charlemont that meets or exceeds the current Federal Communications broadband benchmark of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speeds. The town desires to have a network that is capable of providing broadband internet access to at least 96% of town residences.
