TOWN OF CHARLEMONT
Propane
The Town of Charlemont is seeking bids for the delivery of propane gas for two 1,000-gallon tanks located at the Fire, Ambulance, and Highway Departments at Factory Road, Charlemont, for fiscal 2025, to start July 1, 2024. This bid also includes an unscheduled delivery upon request of our Emergency Management Director for the emergency generator located at the Town Hall without any additional delivery charges. The approximate usage is 5,900 gallons for the departments combined. Bids should be sealed and marked “Bid for Propane “. Bids will be accepted at the Charlemont Town Hall until Wednesday, July 17, 2024, 12:30 P.M. Bids received will be opened and read aloud on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 12:30 P.M. by the Town Administrator. Bids may be submitted to the Select Board, 157 Main Street, P.O. Box 677, Charlemont. The Select Board reserves the right to accept and/or reject any or all bids if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town to do so.

Equipment Rental
The Town of Charlemont will be accepting sealed proposals for furnishing and delivery for use by the Town of Charlemont, equipment rental, with or without an operator. The sealed proposals, plainly marked “Equipment Rental”, will be accepted up to Wednesday, July 17, 2024, 12:35 P.M., and will be opened and read aloud on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 12:35 P.M. Proposals will cover the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. Plans and specifications may be obtained by contacting the Highway Superintendent at 413-339-4335. Operators will be required to provide certificates of insurance showing coverage of at least $300,000 and workers compensation coverage for hired employees. Bids may be submitted to the Charlemont Select Board, 157 Main Street, P.O. Box 677, Charlemont. The Select Board reserves the right to accept and/or reject any or all proposals if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town to do so.
